Philip Rund interned at Foundation Test Group throughout multiple summers while he attended college at UMBC in pursuit of his Bachelor's Degree in Physics. During his time at FTG, Philip adapted to every challenge thrown his way with the support from leaders of Team FTG. Whether he was performing CSL testing in the field or exploring instrumentation systems, Philip approached each task with a positive attitude and a desire to bring value to FTG.
After graduating from UMBC, Philip was accepted into the University of Washington's Atmospheric Science PhD program in Seattle. Currently, Philip works as a research assistant in the Atmospheric Sciences department. Read below for more from Philip on his time at FTG:
"I consider my time at FTG to be the first step I took toward an exciting career in hands-on science. I think I’m much better prepared for the field work I do now as a PhD student thanks to working onsite with FTG projects. Diana and Jeff were very warm and understanding people to work for, yet also pushed me outside my comfort zone so I could build new skills and develop confidence in the work I did. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity they gave me and the doors that opened as a result. FTG was where I learned that there’s nothing you can’t do with the right attitude and a willingness to learn!"
FTG is grateful for Philip's contributions and look forward to seeing him grow throughout his career!
