Emergency Slab Scan
When a dorm room at George Mason University was in need of immediate sewer line repair, FTG's specialty testing team mobilized for same-day services. The contractor, Stingray Welding, LLC called FTG to support the maintenance standby crew with ground penetrating radar scanning of the concrete floor slab. Prior to concrete cutting and removal work, FTG personnel were able to accurately identify depths and locations of existing slab steel reinforcement and utility conduits that the contractor needed to avoid. By early afternoon, site facility crews were able to safely penetrate the existing slab in multiple rooms to access the broken pipe in need of repair.
Swift action from a trained and capable staff delivered a successful response to the client's project, "I'd like to personally thank FTG, Inc. for being as responsive as you were to our needs yesterday. You guys came through big time, and we really appreciate it."
FTG consistently leads the industry in tackling encountered foundation challenges and takes pride in contributing recognized value within the scope of the contractor's goals.
