Foundation Test Group, Inc. is a full service geotechnical engineering and testing firm. Our staff of experienced engineers, geologists, scientists and technicians have the practical expertise to lead a project from conception to completion. At FTG, Inc. we are not confined in our approach by past experiences. Rather, we exploit our past experiences to find the most innovative and cost effective solutions possible.
FTG offers a wide range of services including geotechnical engineering design from simple single story structures and stormwater management design, to complex deep foundation solutions. We are familiar with foundation design from the coastal plain to the piedmont and have expertise for projects located in karst terrain.
Additionally FTG performs Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments to determine if there are any past uses which will impact future construction. FTG has a full service laboratory for soil and concrete testing to compliment our full field construction monitoring and inspection services.
In the realm of deep foundation load testing, integrity testing, value engineering design and deep foundation remediation services FTG has unparalleled experience and expertise. Foundation Test Group is a leader in the design of load testing utilizing static, dynamic, Statnamic and Bi-directional methods based on the site needs and project conditions. FTG engineers have performed and analyzed Crosshole Sonic Logging (CSL)and other integrity test methods such as Low Strain (PIT) testing Thermal Integrity Profiling (TIP) for over 20 years, performing over 1,000 such tests per year. Applying these results, when there is a problem, FTG is experienced in developing a cost effective remedial solution.
