In preparation for the first section of track to be installed this fall for Maryland’s $5.6 billion Purple Line project, FTG has completed pre-construction survey inspections of more than 350 local residential, commercial, and transportation properties!
With the Purple Line transit system navigating through and around densely developed suburbs and communities from Bethesda to New Carrollton in its path to providing mass transportation, the Maryland Transit Authority developed an existing structure protection plan for any properties determined to be within the zone of potential influence from adjacent construction.
For any property owners within the set zones who desired to have a survey, FTG performed a thorough inspection of structures utilizing photographs, sketches, measurements, and instrumentation monitoring recommendations where applicable.
Since the fall of 2017, FTG has coordinated with hundreds of residents, business owners, and other public officials to document existing conditions of all types of structures from single family homes to multi-story parking garages.
