Environmental Services

(Geotechnical Investigations)

While FTG offers a wide spectrum of environmental capabilities, our expertise is predominantly focused on conducting “due diligence” Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and site screening investigations to minimize our clients’ risk during property evaluations and real estate transfers. We perform our assessments in accordance with the latest protocols and standards developed by ASTM for properties as simple as vacant land to more challenging real estate holdings, industrial/commercial facilities, and Brownfield redevelopment sites.  We also perform routine subsurface investigations for typical environmental concerns (such as leaking petroleum product tanks and improperly disposed dry cleaning solvents) as well as very complex soil and groundwater contamination situations.

Our current environmental specialization involves evaluating and remediating sites which have previously been utilized as fruit orchards, recognizing the need to mitigate the deleterious impact of long-term and widespread pesticide usage on formerly agricultural lands scheduled for development into residential districts.

FTG is Here to Help

We offer more than 15 certified services in the geotechnical engineering industry. From Pre-Construction Surveys to Thermal Integrity Profiling. Search for the service you need or hit us up with our contact button!

FTG’s applied environmental testing also assists in the development of storm water infiltration features and BMP'. For infiltration, we can perform double ring infiltrometer testing as well as back up soil textural testing to quantify a site’s specific infiltration rates.
